Why Glass

Environmental Advantages of Glass Recycling

The main ecological advantages of using cullet in the glassmaking process are:

By increasing the utilization rate of the collected shards, raw material consumption is reduced and molten glass is obtained at a lower temperature. Thus, easier and faster production can be realized.

Air pollution

Less carbon dioxide is emitted into the atmosphere. For every 1 ton of broken glass used, the carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere is reduced by 20%.

Mineral Consumption

Since the use of cullet is replaced by the raw materials used in the glass composition (silica sand, limestone and sodium carbonate), less consumption of natural resources is provided. For each ton of glass cullet used, 1.2 tons of unused raw material reduces the consumption amount.

Water Consumption

With the optimized use of water resources, 50% less is used for every 1 ton of glass production.

We are supporters of a sustainable future/

sustainability is not part of our production; it is a guiding factor for all our work.”

The benefits of glass packaging are as transparent, sustainable and inert as the nature of glass. It is 100% forever recyclable, reusable and refillable; It is safe to store food and beverages.

Comes from Nature

Glass is made from natural substances that are naturally abundant. The alchemy of these additives results in a single material. No other material or chemical layer is needed to complete this.

100% Forever Recyclable

Glass is 100% recyclable forever without loss of quality and purity. Glass recycling is a closed loop system that creates no additional waste or by-products. Glass is one of the few examples where the same material can be recycled multiple times without deteriorating its quality.

For health

Glass is almost completely inert and impermeable. It does not contain carcinogenic substances. Developed with anti-ultraviolet approaches. There is no risk of harmful chemicals entering the food or drink placed in the glass. No additional barriers or additives are required. A glass bottle is 100% pure glass.

Safe and Lightweight

Today’s glass packaging is approximately 40% lighter than it was 30 years ago. Glass packaging can handle vacuum or high pressure sealing. It is the ONLY packaging material approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as “generally safe”.
